Mike travelled to Laura’s hometown in Stevenage, England, where Laura was welcomed home by her mother Pauline, her brother Roy and her sisters Jane and Esther.
Laura’s final wish was to have her ashes scattered on a mountaintop with a view of the ocean, a forever room with a view.On Wed, August 21, 2019, from a green field near Sheffield, England, Laura’s ashes were lifted into a blue sky and released at the very edge of space. Her ashes will be carried around the world on stratospheric winds, circling the Earth for weeks or months. Eventually, they will cause clouds to form and fall back to Earth as rain or snow.
This was a journey where Mike could not be by her side. But, she was never alone. her father joined her and his ashes were released with hers so he could welcome her home and Laura could tell him about her life in America…
