My darling P.  Little did I know when I turned a different corner on that November evening that my world was about to change completely, but it did because it led me to you – the absolute love of my life and my very best friend.  That day had been one of the lowest points for me and your tenderness and comfort made me feel so safe.  From then on, you became my everything with your wit, charm, confidence, dazzling smile, twinkling eyes, and your unwavering love and total belief that together we could achieve anything we wanted to.

Along the way we laughed and cried, lived and loved - and bickered and bantered like Jack and Vera!  Sometimes it seemed like us against the world, but it didn’t matter because we had each other.  Thank you for giving me the best life and I cherish every single moment we shared.

You endured so much with immense courage and an incredible, if sometimes a little warped(!), sense of humour, never wanting anyone to feel discomfited by your pain.  You would always say “it is what it is, no point in crying, you’ve just got to front it and get on with it – so CRACK ON!”  You were truly remarkable.

You took me on a fabulous journey my lovely boy, now you go on yours.  Always and forever, your Jo xx

What an amazing final journey, I remember you sharing this with me and couldn't believe you can actually send your ashes into space. I always admired your courage and was often on the end of that warped sense of humour (even when you was so poorly). Rest in space Paul. X
