In a dream I
thought I’d lost you,
Away in a far
off place.
Half an age
away you’re sleeping,
Peaceful in
your slumbers deep.
If I lost you
in your dreaming,
Could I rest
or always weep?
I died too
when you died Rudy,
Drowning in
your slumbers deep.
My life too
was lost,
And empty was
my soul
When on deaths
long train you travelled,
Always, always
half my soul.
